The journal publishes reports on clinical and experimental
research pertinent to human physiology in health and disease.
Three types of papers are accepted. Full papers are considered for
publication provided they clearly and succinctly report on new
observations. Invited reviews and editorials are also published.
Brief or preliminary communications of results with immediate
interest may also be considered for expedited publication. No part
of a paper may have been or may be published elsewhere. The
journal is published six times a year.
